What is the ballot measure?

Voters will be asked whether the Tucson City Charter should be amended to prescribe specific mandatory minimum staffing levels for police officers and mandatory minimum response times for the Tucson Fire Department including minimum firefighter staffing levels to achieve these response times. These unfunded mandates would have to be met by the City of Tucson within five fiscal years with prescribed minimum yearly increases.
